Welcome to High Plains CDC. Since January of 1995 we’ve stood for the creation of opportunity and equity for the rural communities of the High Plains, northwest Nebraska, southwest South Dakota and eastern Wyoming. We’re for sustainable change, rural ecomic development and for insuring quality, safe, affordable housing for all. We accomplish this by building as well as substantially rehabilitating homes for low-moderate income homeownership. We provide outreach and education on the Fair Housing Act. We provide opportunity for growth in our communities through Chadron YouthBuild, a regional education and job training program for 16-24 year old young adults, male and female, who transform their lives while they transform their communities. We assist young adults in the transformation of their lives by providing leadership development, education and job training. We stand for sustaining the rural economy of the High Plains region through community development efforts and we ’ve recently expanded these efforts to help develop similar programs in Saskatchewan, Canada.
