WELCOME TO HIGH PLAINS CDC
Since January of 1995 we've stood for the creation of opportunity and equity for the rural communities of the High Plains, which include the communities of northwest Nebraska, southwest South Dakota and eastern Wyoming. We promote and engage in sustainable change and in rural economic development. As a Community Housing Development Organization we stand for insuring quality, safe, affordable housing for all through our housing development, HUD Housing Counseling and Fair Housing programs. Our programs provide opportunities for community growth. Through the Chadron YouthBuild program we assist young adults in the transformation of their lives by providing leadership development, education and job training in the construction trades while they in turn help transform their own communities. We stand for sustaining the rural economy of the High Plains region through community and economic development efforts.
